Growing Green

The pumpkin patch, corn maze is a great addition to our dairy.  The animals leave the farm for about 6 weeks as we clean everything up and prepare for your visit.  As they graze in the fields, they leave the fertilizer that helps it all grow.  When they return, they will be right back out there to enjoy the left-overs.  They love the pumpkins, and have them eaten within a week.

Try to drive by and watch as they walk around with a pumpkin on their nose!  Next we turn them out in the corn maze and we can't believe how quickly they have it eaten down, it's a lot of fun to watch.

They eat the hay out of the Hay Maze, and the corn from the corn box will be sent back to the mill to be 'rolled' as that is the way it is fed to the cows, and we will bring it right back for them.  There you have it, they help us out, and we return it back to them.

It's a good 'green' thing.  Natural recycling.
